There is a detail we redraw on every project: the junction where a floor meets an external wall. It is the least photographed part of a building and the first place it fails.
Our rule is that a junction should be drawn once, tested on site, and then carried forward without renegotiation. Novelty at a junction is almost always a sign that something upstream — the structure, the envelope, the tolerance — has not been resolved.
