VOLUM — Architecture, research and building
VOLUM creates architecture shaped by context, material and the way people inhabit space.

Approach
Every project begins with a long look at what is already there — the climate, the street, the way people already move. What we add is measured against that, not against a style.
Context
The site, its climate and its history are the first brief.
Culture
How a place is already used before we add to it.
Material
Chosen for how it ages, not how it photographs.
Human experience
The sequence a person moves through, room by room.
Areas of expertise
We work across scales, from a single room to a district plan. The method does not change — only the size of the ground we read.
01
Architecture
Buildings from first sketch to site supervision, detailed to outlive the brief that produced them.
02
Masterplanning
Districts organised around shade, walking distance and the streets people already use.
03
Interior Design
Interiors developed with the building, not applied to it — the same materials, carried inside.
04
Landscape
Ground, water and planting treated as structure rather than as decoration around a building.
05
Urban Design
Public space at the scale where a city is actually experienced: the block and the crossing.
The studio

Founded in Tashkent in 2019, VOLUM works between Central Asia and Europe on buildings, districts and interiors that are meant to be inherited rather than replaced.
A note from VOLUM
We are not interested in a house style. We are interested in what a particular piece of ground, a particular climate and a particular client make necessary — and in drawing that as precisely as we can.
